The Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishard Badhudeen said regulations should be introduced soon to look into the raw- materials used to produce imported and local jincense sticks and incense powder.
He made this remark in Parliament today (07) in response to a oral question raised by the UNP MP Buddhika Pathirana .
Currently, 60 percent of annual requirement of incense sticks and powder is produced in Sri Lanka and the remainder is imported from abroad, the Minister noted.
