During the visit, President gave the necessary instructions to the security forces personnel who are already deployed for the rescue missions.

The President also visited the Rajagiriya Maha Vidyalaya, Dippitiya, Aranayake and the Hathgampola Maha Vidyalaya, where the displaced were temporarily sheltered.

President also instructed the relevant officials to provide necessary facilities without any shortage for them and specially instructed to look into their health situation.

During the visit, the President assured the Government’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of the displaced and said, “The Government will implement a comprehensive program in the future to resettle the persons displaced due to the landslide.”
