In addition, the Presidential Secretariat cancelling all the Vesak programs organized by them and other institutions has decided to donate those all the funds to provide necessary facilities to the flood victims.

President Maithripala Sirisena has also given instructions to the Secretary to the President to establish a fund using these donations. The funds will be utilized to fulfil the present needs of the victims. as well as to provide facilities like health, drinking water, basic sanitary facilities when they return to their homes.
