The construction was carried out with the provisions granted by the Ministry of Education under the national program of reconstructing the primary and secondary schools to achieve Knowledge based development goals.

A student of the college, M.N. Fara Nifila, the G.C.E. (A/L) - 2015 second place winner of the Galle district under the Technology stream was also felicitated by the President.
