The Flag Sale Week organized annually to raise funds for the Vision Impaired Student’s Welfare Fund and to create attention of the general public regarding the visually impaired persons.

President of the Sri Lanka Council of Visually Handicapped Graduates, Sugath Wasantha De Silva pinned the first flag on President Sirisena and the President also, marking the White Cane Day, presented a white cane.

At this event they presented a scroll to the President, listing out the problems unique to the handicapped.

Members of the Sri Lanka Council of Visually Handicapped Graduates, including its President, SugathWasantha De Silva, Secretary, Padmakumari Karunathilaka also participated.
