During the ceremony title deeds were distributed to 2,000 beneficiaries and marking the event symbolically, the President handed over title deeds to 12 persons.

This program was organized by the Ministry of Lands and the Land Reforms Commission.

Ministers John Amaratunge, Wajira Abeywardena, S.B. Nawinna, and Arjuna Ranatunge, State Minister T.B. Ekanayake, Secretary to the Lands Ministry Dr. I.H. K. Mahanama, and Chairman of the Lands Reforms Commission Sumanatissa Thambugala also participated.
