    Consensual government will continue its forward march – President

    Present Government will fulfill the responsibility of building a prosperous and a respectful nation for the benefit of people living today as well as for the future generation, with a great commitment while resolving the issues of the country and its citizens, said President Maithripala Sirisena.


    Today, as a country we move forward with a successful economy towards a positive journey, even though some sections of the society level various criticisms against the government only seeing the few bad initiatives, the consensual government including me and the Prime Minister always committed to develop this country, the President said.


    He made these remarks addressing the conclusion ceremony of the second “Nila Mehewara”, National Mobile Service Program held at the Siridhamma College in Labuduwa, Galle, on Saturday (14th Jan.). The first phase was held recently in Polonnaruwa district under the patronage of President Sirisena. About137, 681 issues were solved out of 149,956 issues presented.


    Addressing the gathering the President further said that the Government will take the steps that should be taken for the development of the Galle district within the economic policy of the Government.


    President Sirisena pointed out the importance of the contribution of the people in the private sector as well as in the government sector changing their attitudes, in the process of implementing development policies and plans of the country.


    Participating today’s Mobile Service Program from the official cubicle of the Presidential Secretariat, the President promptly provided solutions for many issues of the public.


    Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Ministers, MPs, Inspector General of Police, Ministry Secretaries, and public officials including Department Heads also participated.
