Galle public servants too reject opposition conspiracies Featured

    March 30, 2014

Public servants of the Galle District too crushingly defeat the opposition parties.  62.06 percent of the postal voters of the Galle district representing 14,111 voters have voted for the United People’s Freedom Alliance showing their gratitude to the government.

The United National Party has received a major set back by received only 16.35 percent of the votes representing only 3,718 votes.  The Democratic Party has come to the third place pushing Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna to the fourth place.  The Democratic Party has received 14.11 percent of the votes representing 3,209 votes and the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna has received only 6.32 percent of the votes representing 1,438 votes.

All the four independent groups and the 10 other political parties which contested from the Galle District have received less than 100 votes, many of them receiving less than 25 votes.

This result too shows that the government servants are solidly backing the government and strongly opposing the conspiracies being hatched by the opposition groups to betray the motherland.  (niz)
