President Maithripala Sirisena who visited Kandy yesterday for the Esala Perahera, paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic and secured blessings, today (8th Aug.).
Later, the President visited the Mahanayake theros of the Malwathu Chapter, Most Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thero and the Asgiriya Chapter Most Ven. Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Mahanayake Thero.
The President also spoke with the people who came to Kandy to view the Esala Perahera.
