President Sirisena who is currently on a three-day state visit to South Korea has contacted the Minister of Disaster Management and the Secretary to the President yesterday (30th Nov.) and has directed them to deploy tri forces for relief activities.

He also instructed them to quickly commence operations to help any fishermen who have been victims of the prevailing adverse weather condition.

Meanwhile, the government has taken actions to grant of minimum Rs. 10, 000.00 to each victimized family.
