President who went to the National Art Gallery this afternoon paid his last respects to the remains of veteran actress Rebecca Nirmalee and expressed his condolences to her daughter, relatives and artistes.

Minister of Mass Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella and Minister of Culture and arts T.B.Ekanayake were present.

Actress Rebeca Nirmali passed away at the age of 49 while being treated for cancer at the Maharagama Cancer Hospital, on Wednesday (13) early morning.

The funeral takes place on Thursday (14) evening at the Borella General Cemetery.
