We should build a young generation who can win the world, from Moneragala too. Everybody has a responsibility to offer the children the opportunities we didn’t get in the past, the President stated at the occasion of the opening of three Mahindodaya Technical Laboratories in three schools in Moneragala District yesterday (Sep. 01)

The President declared open the laboratories built in Dombagahawela Madya Maha Vidyalaya, Medirigiriya Rajyananda Madya Maha Vidyalaya and Vipulananda Tamil Maha Vidyalaya.

President Rajapaksa recalled that a society, in which everybody can live without any fear and suspicion, has been built today. He said it is his pleasure to see the children, who lived with fear of terrorists; without the chance for education or even with no food are today having the opportunity for education with freedom.

The President also requested the parents to gift the children a peaceful and developed country, without betraying the hard won freedom. (PRIU)
