The President made these comments at a meeting held with 5000 women representatives of the SLFP island-wide on Saturday (08) at Temple Trees.

The President further said that with the eradication of terrorism, the government is now working hard to make the lives of the people prosperous. The government in the budget has focused special attention to strengthen the economy of women, he added.

Ministers Susil Premajayantha, Tissa Karaliyadda, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Governor of Southern Province Kumari Balasuriya were present on the occasion.
