The President was addressing countrywide tea small holders who were present at Temple TreesWednesday(12).
The President further noted that the highest production of tea during the past 150 years of the history was reported under the present administration with the provision of maximum concessions to the tea small holders.
During the event, the best tea small holders selected according to categories of tea small lands were presented with awards and certificates by the President.
Plantations Industries Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe, Deputy Minister Earl Gunasekera and Parliamentarian Uditha Lokubandara were present. (KH)
