The Housing Project "Sirimuthu Uyana" is located at Bandaranayake Avenue in Colombo 14.  Each housing unit constructed at a cost of 8 million rupees  consists of two bedrooms,a  living room, a kitchen balcony and sanitary facilities and solar power system.

The government is to vest over 5,000 housing units  in the people living in underserved settlements in the Colombo city by year's end. These projects are being carried out under the Urban Regeneration program on the directions of Defence and Urban Development Ministry Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. The Urban Development Authority is handling the construction of these projects. (KH)
