The sermon was delivered by Deputy Registrar of the Karaka Sabha of the Asgiri Vihara Chapter of the Shyamapoli Nikaya Venerable Narampanave Ananda Thero.

The bhikkus led by the Chief Incumbent Thero chanted the Jaya Piritha and blessed the President.

A mango sapling was planted in the temple premises to mark the President’s visit to the temple.

Mrs. Jayanthi Sirisena, people’s representatives of the area including Mr. Lakshaman Kiriella, Mr. S. B. Dissanayake, Mr. Keheliya Rambukwella, Mr. Sarath Ekanayake, Secretary to the President P. B. Abeykoon, Defense Secretary B M U D Basnayake and Government Agents were also present at this occasion.
