The 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup is an international limited over tournament to be held in Bangladesh from 22 January to 14 February 2016. It will be the eleventh edition of the Under-19, and the second to be held in Bangladesh, after the 2004 event.
Sri Lanka has been drawn in group 'B' with Pakistan, Afghanistan and Canada. Two changes were made to the squad that took part in a recent Triangular series with Charana Nanayakkara (Thurstan) replacing Malinga Amarasinghe (Nalanda) and Kamindu Mendis (Richmond) taking the place of Lakshan Fernando (De La Salle).
