    Sri Lanka Squad for U-19 World Cup in B’desh Featured

    Sri Lanka named its Under-19 squad for the Youth Cricket World Cup to be held from January 27 to February 14 in Bangladesh


    The 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup is an international limited over tournament to be held in Bangladesh from 22 January to 14 February 2016.  It will be the eleventh edition of the Under-19, and the second to be held in Bangladesh, after the 2004 event.


    Sri Lanka has been drawn in group 'B' with Pakistan, Afghanistan and Canada. Two changes were made to the squad that took part in a recent Triangular series with Charana Nanayakkara (Thurstan) replacing Malinga Amarasinghe (Nalanda) and Kamindu Mendis (Richmond) taking the place of Lakshan Fernando (De La Salle).

Senanayake), Avishka Fernando (St. Sebastian's), Vishad Randika (wicket keeper - Isipathana), Wanindu Hasaranga (Richmond), Asitha Fernando (St. Sebastian's), Lahiru Kumara (Trinity), Jehan Daniel (St. Joseph's), Kamindu Mendis (Richmond), Thilan Nimesh (Prince of Wales), Lahiru Samarakoon (Dharmaraja), Damith Silva (Maliyadeva), Charana Nanayakkara (Thurstan).
