Pakistan chasing a victory target of 151 in20 overs was revived by season campaigners Umar Akmal (48) and and Shoib Malik (13 n.o) who added 56 runs for the fifth wicket after Sarfraz Ahmed (38) and Sharjeel Khan (31) gave them the required base.

Sri Lanka's declining power in the T20 format internationally was revealed by their limited bowling resources in pace and spin. Sri Lanka will soon leave for India to defend their World T20 title which they won in 2014.

Tillekeratne Dilshan came back to his own when he smashed an unbeaten 75 off 56 deliveries inclusive of ten fours and a six as Sri Lanka ended their stipulated 20 overs at 150 for 4.

Dilshan and Chandimal gave the best possible start in the tournament. The pair put on 110 in 14 overs for the opening wicket when Sri Lanka was asked to bat by Shahid Afrdi.

The Pakistan bowlers seemed to be jaded after their previous match after losing to Bangladesh as the bowlers could not produce the same form which they did in previous matches.

Dinesh Chandimal led the side in the absence of Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga who did not play due to injury.

Chandimal and Dilshan were in control right from the beginning. Dilshan struck four boundaries in a Mohammad Nawaz over while Chandimal stroked 58 facing 48 deliveries with seven fours and a six.
