Venerable Amuthagoda Indrarathana thero said that the Buddha statue will be unveiled on Tuesday (march 22).

Hidellana, Weeragoda Sri Maha Temple in Ratnapura is a historic temple built during King Seethawaka Rajasinghe’s era. A series of religious ceremonies are being held in connection with the unveiling of an 84 feet tall Buddha statue built at the temple.

Venerable Indrarathana thero said that the Samadhi Buddha statue would be unveiled under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe.
