The Embassy premises was decorated and illuminated with colourful bulbs, Vesak buckets and Vesak lanterns made by the staff of the Embassy bringing the Sri Lankan Vesak atmosphere to Tokyo.  The guests along with the staff participated in lighting of buckets, reflecting Buddha’s message of peace and harmony.A ‘Dansala’ was also arranged by the staff of the Embassy for Japanese and Sri Lankan visitors serving Ceylon Tea and Sri Lankan food.Many Japanese, who visited ‘Dansala’ at the Embassy premises, enjoyed Sri Lankan food and tea.
