Addressing a news briefing, Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa Pradeep Nilanga Dela said that the Kumbal Perera will begin parading the streets on the 20th while the Randoli Perahera will begin on the 25th.

The Diyawadana Nilame pointed out that the planting of Kap targeting the Perahera Festival is slated to take place centering the four Devales at an auspicious time on the 15th.

The first Kumbal Perahera will leave the Wahalkada of the Temple of the Tooth on the 20th. This Perahera will last five days.

He added that the first Randoli Perahera is scheduled to parade the streets on the 25th of this month.
