The perahera will leave the Bellanwila Rajamaha Vihara premises and parade along Vihara Mawatha, Dehiwala-Maharagama route, Sri Somarathana Mawatha and return to the temple along Vihara Mawatha.

Over 25 elephants and tuskers will participate in the perahera along with Nedungamuwe Raja carrying the casket containing the Sacred Buddha Relics. The tusker will be followed by two groups of dancers.

Among the other attractions will be fire, whip, Kandyan, low county and cultural dance items. The water cutting ceremony will be held at the Boralesgamuwa ferry tomorrow.

The ceremony will conclude after the offering of alms to deities. A Gara Yaka dance to invoke blessings on all those who participated in the perahera and assisted in numerous ways for its success will be held in the evening.
