The Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Mahinda Amraweera is participating at the ‘NOR FISHING – 2016’ annual international fisheries exhibition from 15th to 18th August in Trondheim, Norway at the invitation of the Norwegian government.
The invitation was extended to the Minister by the Norwegian Ambassador in Sri Lanka Mr. Thorbojorn Gaustadsaether recently at a discussion held at the Fisheries Ministry.
Member states of the European Union and a large number of developed and mid-income countries are participating at the exhibition. “This will be a great opportunity for Sri Lanka to win the international fisheries markets”, Minister Amaraweera said.
