He said the visit can fall in line with the proposed visit of the Sri Lankan Minister of External Affairs Professor G. L. Peiris to Bulgaria, which is expected to take place in the near future.

The Bulgarian duo was met by the Acting Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Mrs. Alikie Perera, while Ms. Lilakshi De Mel and Mrs. Gayathri Gunaruwan, two of the senior officials of the Chamber were also present during the occasion.

Further speaking here, the Bulgarian envoy said his country is interested in exporting Bee honey, wine and cosmetics to Sri Lanka.

They said, Sri Lanka too can import more ‘Ceylon Tea’ and ‘Cinnamon’ to that country, while discussions also ranged on the importation of industrial products manufactured in Sri Lanka to Bulgaria, such as tyres.

“We should identify few potential products from both countries and then start working on improving trade on those products,” said Mrs. Alikie Perera, the Acting Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
