Over the last 48 hours, the British and Canadian embassies announced the temporary suspension of consular services due to an unspecified security threat.

The Garden City district (where both embassies are located) is completely safe, said Director of Security Ali Al Demerash, adding that his office has not received any reports about terrorist threats in the metropolitan area.
