– President said while attending the 2023 graduation ceremony of NSBM Green University

Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries, Mr. Mahinda Amaraweera, highlighted on-going initiatives aimed at attracting the youth community to agriculture. He emphasized that proactive measures are being implemented to modernize the agricultural sector, fostering a more appealing environment for the youth.

Hon. Wasantha Yapabandara, Member of Parliament was appointed as the Chair of the Parliamentary Caucus on Human Rights as nominated and seconded by Hon. Jayantha Samaraweera and Hon. Udayana Kirindigoda respectively. He was appointed at the inaugural Caucus meeting held on the 07.12.2023.

The Sectoral Oversight Committee on National Economic and Strategic Plans met in Parliament on 05.12.2023 under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament Hon. Mahinanda Aluthgamage to get the views of the Tax Appeals Commission regarding the matters to be included in the amendment of the Inland Revenue Department Act.
