The inaugural multi-stakeholder workshop to formulate Sri Lanka’s 3rd National Action Plan (NAP) 2023-2025 took place yesterday (10) at the Renuka Hotel, Colombo.
State Minister for Trade, S. Viyalanderan, highlighted that the government’s efforts, led by President Ranil Wickramasinghe, have contributed to a partial recovery from the economic recession in the country. To fully enhance the situation, he emphasized the importance of everyone, regardless of party affiliation, rallying behind and supporting these endeavours.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Member of Parliament Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri, handed over his letter of resignation as a Member of Parliament to the Secretary General of Parliament, Mrs. Kushani Rohanadeera.
State Minister for Livestock Development, D.B. Herath, stated that the Department of Agriculture is currently implementing measures to empower small and medium-scale farmers in producing an excess of liquid milk required by the country.
