    Govt. to implement e-learning centres island-wide

    The Minister of Science, Technology and Research has taken steps to establish an e-learning education centres island-wide to enhance the education of students especially in English and ICT under the assistance of the UNIS institute of Tsinghua University, China. It is believed that the project will be able to effectively transform traditional teaching patterns.

    Computer literacy is a most important factor on the development of a country and Sri Lanka has implemented several programmes aiming the Computer Literacy. Computer Literacy would be an essential qualification in approach to the job market.



    This project would benefit students who failed in university entrance, unemployed youth and employed youth who do not possess the computer literacy.
