According to the Ministry, the government has procured electricity for those families free of charge and have shouldered the payment in total.
However, the government plans to recover this money from the beneficiaries within six years gradually.

Unity Government has provided electricity supplies to 150,000 poor families. Each connection is valued at Rs. 40,000, Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy revealed.
