According to the Ministry, the government has identified certain spots on the Southern Expressway, which has a high risk of accidents and would consider to find solutions.

Ministry of Higher Education and Highways revealed that 2590 traffic accidents have taken place on the Southern Expressway so far since its opening and 20 persons have died in the accidents while 402 suffered injuries.
