Several showers are expected in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota District today (28th March).
According to the Department of Meteorology, showers or thundershowers could occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 pm.
During thunder showers, temporary localized strong winds are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
