Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in many provinces today (18th April) after 2.00 pm.
According to the Department of Meteorology, fairly heavy falls (above 50 mm) are also likely at some places.
In the morning, showers are expected in the South-Western and Southern coastal areas.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
