    Navy Commander lauds the inventors of Reverse Osmosis Plant

    In order to help combat the Chronic Kidney Disease in the areas where a high prevalence of the disease is recorded, Sri Lanka Navy has been installing Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plants, for the benefit of the people in such areas, in the recent past.

    The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral, Ravindra Wijegunaratne commended the effort of the naval personnel who were instrumental in inventing these devices and awarded them with “Letters of Commendation” at the Naval headquarters yesterday (May 09).


    Accordingly, Captain (E) Priyankara Dissanayake, Petty Officer (ME) A.G.H. Rupasinghe, Leading Mechanical Engineering Mate K.G.N.P. Gunapala and Radio Electrician Mate M.S.D. Amarasinghe received the “Commendation Letters” from Commander of the Navy.


    Realizing the requirement of the needy people who are deprived of safe drinking water, the Navy will continue to produce another 50 units of RO Plants during this year as one of its social welfare projects.
