    Third Pakistani cargo plane carrying flood reliefs arrived

    Third Pakistani cargo plane carrying relief goods for the flood victims arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Katunayake on Saturday afternoon (28th May).

     

    The plane arrived Sri Lanka with a consignment of medicine, raincoats, rain boots, mosquito replants, shelters and tents which were identified by the Sri Lankan authorities as immediate requirements for the flood victims.

     

    The Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Dr. Sarfraz Ahmed Khan Sipra handed over the relief assistance to the Secretary to the Ministry of Disaster Management S.S. Miyanawala at the BIA premises.

     

    The first and second consignments of Pakistani relief items were handed over to the Sri Lankan authorities on 23rd and 25th May respectively.
