Government has paid attention to make NVQ level 3 and level 4 equal to passing G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination and G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination respectively with the aim to recruit more fore related streams of training.
Sri Lanka Qualification Framework and National Vocational Qualifications Framework are the two qualification frameworks in Sri Lanka. However, National Vocational Qualification was not considered in recruitment process.
The proposal made by Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training Mahinda Samarasinghe to issue a circular from the Ministry of Public Administration and Management in this regard has been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
