The program will be implemented in 346 MOH divisions dividing them into three categories namely, High-risk, Risk, and Low-Risk areas. Of these 346 divisions, 26 High-Risky MOH divisions have been identified so far in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Ratnapura, Batticoloa, and Jaffna Districts.
On 28th and 29th Sept. the school premises and construction sites will be inspected. Awareness programs, and Shramadana campaigns will be conducted during the program and legal action will be taken against the offenders.
According to the Director General of Health Services Dr. Palitha Mahipala, prevention of related diseases such as Chikungunya and Zika also will be among the top objectives of this program.
Nearly 20,000 officials will join the week-long program. 65 Dengue deaths have been reported so far in this year.
