Since it attracts a lot of tourists, the Thero requested the minister to develop the infrastructure facilities and to conserve it through the Central Cultural Fund (CCF).

The Thero also suggested to issue a ticket for foreigners who visit this place and to use that money for the conservation of temples.
 

The Thero said that since there is no mechanism to conserve the site he is experiencing many difficulties.

Minister Kariyawasam said that he will discuss with the Archeology Department, CCF and provide leadership to prepare a plan to develop the surrounding areas of Namal Uyana.
