With the increasing demand for agriculture, transportation, tourism, commercial and other urban development activities in the Matale District, the Urban Development Authority has identified Naula Town to be developed as a planned city under the Regional Township Development Project.
It is expected to vest the land in extent of 6.7884 hectares for the Naula Town Development Project.
A project to develop the facilities in the Naula town is under progress. The project will construct a new modern auditorium, an Ayurveda hospital and a playground.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
