During the discussion, special attention was paid with regard to the role of a provincial journalist at an emergency disaster situation and their level of awareness.

As well they were apprised about accurate reporting of news at such situations and were theoretically apprised about the disasters such as Tsunami, coastal erosion, mineral oil leaking into the ocean and Tornadoes that especially affect the district.

Provincial Journalists, District 's disaster management co-ordinating officers as well as a large crowd participated at the event.
