    Cause for explosion revealed soon – Military spokesman Featured

    The public will be informed of what exactly happened in Salawa Army camp soon after the ongoing three inquiries are completed, Military Spokesman Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera said.

    According to him, currently three inquiries are being conducted by Military court of Inquiry, Defense Ministry, and the CID.

     

    In addition, 1020 houses in Salawa area damaged by the explosion have been repaired so far by the forces and constructions of 19 houses are in progress by now. As a relief measure the Sri Lanka Army has provided two sets of school uniforms to around 800 students in the area and also has provided school equipment to around 1,500 students for continue their studies.
