    Special focus on sports that can achieve international triumphs, sports economy in the country and field of e-sports – Minister Namal Rajapaksa

    The government has initiated a program to regulate sports, the Minister of Youth and Sports Namal Rajapaksa said in Parliament yesterday (21).

    Minister Namal Rajapaksa stated that in the last few months, the laboratory established at the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency (SLADA) has been transformed into one of the most equipped laboratories in South Asia for the testing of prohibited substances.

    In addition, the Government has given special focus on sports that can achieve international triumphs, sports economy in the country, and field of e-sports, said the Sports Minister.

    Furthermore, the preliminary process of registering fitness centers at various places in the country has already commenced. The Sports Minister also said that steps will be taken to regulate sports associations and standardize the managers of athletes.
