The former President mentioned that the Sri Lanka Freedom Party is a Party which had people’s friendly policies and which implemented these policies for a period of 70 years. She said that three leaders of the Sri Lanka freedom Party donated their wealth on behalf of the people and did not swindle a single public cent. It discharged a most valuable service to the people. It was in progress only up to 2005 and thereafter the Party became distorted.

120 million rupees was expended on the construction of the Weekly Fair, managed by the Gampaha Municipal Council. The weekly fair spans one acre. Among those present on the occasion was Prliamentarian Pandu Bandaranayake.
