The President who arrived at the historic Pahala Yagoda Sugathanandarama Temple which is located in his birthplace, obtained blessings subsequent to religious observances.

The President thereafter met with the Chief Prelate of the Temple, Ven, Yakkaduwa Rahula thera and inquired into his well-being.  The Chief Prelate chanted seth pirith and blessed the President.

Thereafter the President went and spoke to the people  who were present near the temple to see him.
