    Sri Lanka's indigenous systems should be given high priority- President Featured

    All must unite with a commitment to give high priority for our indigenous systems to make our country victorious, said President Maithripala Sirisena.

    The President further said that we should always admire our heritage and our indigenous systems to conquer the international market to become one of the greatest countres in the world.

     

    He made these observations participating in the opening ceremony of the newly built Ayurvedic herbal products manufacturing Centre of the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Drugs Corporation, yesterday (28).

     

    “Still, there are invaluable hidden abilities in our country due to not giving proper recognition for them during the past era” , the President said.

     

    President Sirisena said that when we speak about our proud culture the traditional medicine method has a significant place and he pledged to provide every possible facility to promote the Ayurveda treatments in Sri Lanka.

     

    The President after unveiling the plaque declared open the newly built Ayurvedic herbal products manufacturing Centre. He also made an inspection tour of the new Centre.

     

    Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine- Rajitha Senaratne, Chief Minister of the Western Province- Isura Devapriya, Chathura Senaratne-MP and others participated at this occasion.
