A group of representatives from the Sri Lanka Campaign to Ban Landmines (SLCBL) met with Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena last week (Dec.24) and presented recently published publications.

Why Post-war Sri Lanka Should Accede to the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) and
Why Sri Lanka Should Ratify the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
Vidya Abhayagunawardena- Coordinator, Namal Weerasena -Campaigner and Prasanna Kuruppu – Advisor of SLCBL also participated at this occasion.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
