He made these remarks participating in the ‘Sirilaka Yaa Kala Nonimi Mehewara’ (The Unfinished Mission of Connecting Sri Lanka) awards ceremony held at the BMICH on Tuesday (24th May) to felicitate employees of the Road Development Authority parallel to its 30th Anniversary.

According to the President, both public officials and politicians have an equal responsibility when the government service is provided for the public.

He speaking about the managing of state resources and ensuring transparency of all financial activities said, “you must ask your hearts if you have been vigilant enough as public officers.”

Minister of Higher Education and Highways, Lakshman Kiriella, State Minister Dilan Perera, Minister Daya Gamage, Minister D. M. Swaminathan, Minister Chandrani Bandara, Minister Gayantha Karunathilake, and the Nihal Sooriyarachchi,Chairman of Road Development Authority also participated.
