    Apologize the House avoid disciplinary actions - Speaker Featured

    Members of Parliament involved in recent unruly behaviours will be pardoned if they make an open apology to the Parliament, according to the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.

     

    Unless the members apologise disciplinary actions will be taken as per the Party Leaders request, he informed the Parliament.

     

    Speaker Karu Jayasuriya stated this today (25th May) at the Parliament in response to Harin Fernanado (MP), when he apologize from the house regarding his statement at Parliament last week.

     

    Speaker expressing his regret on the incident said, “The goodwill of the house has now fallen down with the recent incident occurred in house.”

     

    Speaker also admired the MP Harin Fernanado for making an apology regarding his mistake.
