    President visited Central Bank

    President Maithripala Sirisena made a special observation visit to the Central Bank yesterday (29th June).

     

    He discussed matters pertaining to the prevailing economic conditions and future plans for the country with the Central Bank staff.


    The President stated that it is his objective to obtain independent ideas from the economic specialists, scholars and all other sectors in to draft economic plans of the country. He pointed out that the government needs active contribution of all political parties to build a prosperous country with a strong economy.

     

    Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Secretary to the Finance Ministry R. H. S. Samarathunga and the Central Bank Governor Arjun Mahendran also were present.
