Maha Nayake of the Asgiriya Chapter Most Venerable Udugama Buddharakkitha Thero delivering a special sermon  said President Mahinda Rajapaksa is the only leader at present to build up a righteous society in Sri Lanka and  no one can deny this reality.

The Thero further said that the President is showing significant interest in developing the country. The Most Venerable Buddharakkitha Thero called upon the public to extend their support to the government to provide concessions to the drought stricken people in the country.

The Chief Incumbent of the Sri Rama Vihara Ven.Ampitiye Dhammadassi Thera also delivered  a sermon.

Cultural Affairs Minister T.B.Ekanayake, Central Province Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake, Parliamentarian Lohan Ratwatte, Kandy Mayor Mahendra Ratwatte, Presidential Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath were present at the occasion.(KH)
