    President visits Ampara General Hospital Featured

    The President has said that the highest tribute that can be received by the politicians as well as the public servants is the people’s gratification. The President expressed this view after making inquiries into the well being of the patients who are receiving treatment at the Ampara General Hospital.

    President Maithripala Sirisena visited the Ampara General Hospital Sunday (03). The President inquired into the well being of the patients who are receiving treatment at this Hospital and served them with fruits.

     

    The President expressing his gratitude to the Director and the staff for the efficient maintenance of the General Hospital as well as for their dedication in serving in this difficult area said it may be a politico or a public servant, it is the people who grant them the certification.

     

    The President pointed out that if a public servant cannot receive the appreciation of the people, it means that they have not discharged their duties appropriately.

     

    The Hospital staff presented a memento to the President to mark his arrival at the Ampara Hospital.

     

    Deputy Minister Anoma Gamage, Eastern Province Governor Austin Fernando and Opposition Leader of the Eastern Province Daya Gamage were among those who were present on the occasion.
